Regular Checks For Healthy Pets
Knowing that your pets are in good health is reassuring. We strongly recommend getting annual health checks even when your animal is in their prime. Doing this can ensure we keep your friend up to date with vaccines and periodic treatments as well as spot problems before they become an issue. This can help to extend the life of your pet, keeping them healthy and happy.
When Pets Get Older
When pets get older, regular checkups are more important than ever. We recommend they have routine health checks every 6 to 12 months. As dogs and cats age they become more at risk for developing ailments such as degenerative disease, cancer and osteoarthritis. During a geriatric health check, your veterinarian may recommend performing routine blood and urine testing as a screening for possible underlying conditions your pet may have. Long term chronic conditions can also be discussed during these visits and a personalised treatment plan established to ensure your pet is enjoying their best quality of life.
